At 450 meters above sea level, Barbazzano commands stunning views up the Arno valley towards Florence. Each season has its own beauty: the vivid greens and blossoming trees of Spring; the warm earth tones and slow rhythm of Summer; grape and olive harvests during Autumn's warm days and cool nights; Winter's quiet and austere beauty. Whatever the time of year, you are sure to have a memorable experience.
During your stay, get to know our disctinctive corner of Tuscany on foot or horseback. The hills surrounding Barbazzano contain numerous trails to explore. Hike or ride through acres of olive trees, past vineyards and up wooded hillsides. Barbazzano lies within a thousand acre game reserve; you may catch a glimpse of pheasants, hares, deer, woodpeckers and reclusive wild boar, all of which abound nearby.
Barbazzano is a feast for all the senses. Enjoy the area's distinctive aromas. Our signature fruit is the blackberry, which ripens in profusion every August. September brings sun-warmed figs and wild grapes.
