Barbazzano Guest Comments

We spent a week at Barbazzano with our friends and family. It was absolutely brilliant! I cannot stress enough how amazing the venue and accommodations were. Barbazzano on "Bang for Your Buck"

Designer Vern Yip and local Italian realty expert Andrea Venturini critique three entertainment renovations in Tuscany, all with the ability to dine al fresco, to determine which one will see the biggest bang for your buck. First aired in 2011, Barbazzano was the winner with best renovation.

"Vier Tage Toskana"

In 2008 Barbazzano was used as the setting for this German television movie. Eva Habermann stars as the widow of an artist who must sell the family's Tuscan estate after she learns her late husband failed to pay taxes for many years

Lectures

My family and I lived in Italy nearly six years while we restored Barbazzano. During that time we learned the language, absorbed the culture and made lasting friendships with Italians. Armed with thousands of photos taken during all stages of the restoration, since 2008 I have lectured about my experiences at venues in New York, Boston, Dallas, New Canaan and Muskoka, Ontario. The lecture covers such diverse topics as the history of the region and the house, the restoration of the buildings, life in central Tuscany, Italian family life, cultural differences, and, of course, food. Join our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram feeds for updates on upcoming lectures.
